This category is open to any individual trainee who has been in the role for at least 12 months by the 1st of May 2020. This award will be judged using the 7 characteristics of a Fantastic Hairdresser. Entries must include the following headings - remember to be creative with your entry but keep the information clear and concise for the judges.

For entry, please include the following information:

1. PASSION

• Please tell us about yourself, your career, your passion for hairdressing and why you think you should win this award, in no more than 500 words.

2. DELIGHT

• Please tell us about your approach to salon customer delight in the following 3 areas:
  - FIRST IMPRESSIONS 
  - LAST IMPRESSIONS 
  - THROUGHOUT THE DAY

• Please share 3 client testimonials that are directly related to yourself - verifiable by either mobile phone number or email address.

3. INSPIRE

• Please tell us how you inspire and advise your training clients (models) in the following areas:
  - IN THE FIRST CONSULTATION 
  - IN THE SECOND CONSULTATION (whilst you are cutting or colouring their hair)
  - IN THE THIRD CONSULTATION (whilst you are styling their hair) 

• If your salon measures tangible results from your training clients please provide any evidence you have to support your claims in this section.

4. AMBASSADOR

• Please include a submission, in no more than 400 words, from your salon owner or salon trainer (or both if you wish) as to why you should win this award and what they feel you will offer to the salon and the industry.

5. PERFORMER

• Please tell us of any industry activities you may have been involved in within the past 12 months (shows, competitions, educational events, photographic sessions, etc) even if this has been in an assistant role. 

• What was the nature of your involvement?

• Please include testimonials from 2-3 stylists in your salon as to how you support them on a day to day basis and perform within the salon.

6. ALIVE INSIDE

• Please give examples of how you motivate yourself consistently to succeed.

• Please share with us what your current goals are for yourself within your job role, and give relevant examples or evidence of what you are doing to achieve these goals.

• Please also tell us about 3 people who inspire you and give reasons why - at least 2 should be from the salon industry.

7. ALWAYS LEARNING

• Please give evidence of any extra training courses or programmes (not including your regular college or salon training) that you have attended in the last 12 months and tell us what you feel you achieved and learnt from them.
  - This may also include any other courses, books, or other mediums you use to develop yourself which may not be industry specific.

Please also note that we are unable to return entries to you after the awards so please be aware of this when including any imagery/documents.
